The challenge

Matomy’s decision to start expansion in China faced a number of difficulties, first being sourcing for the local talents and employees. Secondly they lacked understanding of HR local labor laws, salary benchmarks, and instruction on management of local employees. Additionally, local suppliers were a necessity for their employment of record. Lastly, they were tasked with finding an immigration specialist to issue working permits for their expatriates relocating from Europe to China.
